Congratulations Colonel Ted Lieu,Our Next Attorney General

Dear Gerald,
Earlier this week, my husband Ted invited you to his promotion ceremony in the United States Air Force.  After over fifteen years of service, Ted is being promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in the US Air Force Reserves, and we want you to be a part of it.
Ted cares about many things, but little means more to him than his country and his service as a military prosecutor.  When we started dating, he told me about two of his proudest moments.  One was when he was personally requested by an Air Force general to prosecute an important criminal case.  Ted secured a conviction in that case.  The second was when he was awarded the Air Force Humanitarian Service Medal for being a part of Operation PACIFIC HAVEN, in which thousands of Kurdish refugees were airlifted out of northern Iraq and safely brought to Guam and then the continental United States.  At the time, Saddam Hussein was about to go into northern Iraq and kill the Kurdish refugees.  That Operation saved thousands of innocent lives.

Ted served on active duty in the Air Force for four years as a JAG officer, and now he is in the active reserves.  Even though he’s taken on other wonderful endeavors outside of the military, his ongoing career with the JAG corps has remained an important part of his life.  It means a lot to me that he’s dedicated himself to giving back to this great nation.
I’m so proud of Ted not just for his promotion, but for the over fifteen years he’s given to our country. I hope you can join us on February 8 in Sacramento.

Lt. Colonel Lieu is running in the Democratic Primary for the position of Attorney General of California.
It is going to take a loooooong trek to get California back home to greatness; voting for Colonel Lieu is a really smart step on that desired journey.
