Obama’s Seminal Mistake, Making America Beggars in Space
Of all the social engineering decisions President Obama has put into place over the last year, none will have a longer, more profound,more long lasting, more deleterious effect than his decision to cut the NASA manned space program.
If the decision stands, it will alter our national DNA, turning us from a nation of Explorers into a nation of beggars. We will be welfare recipients, dependent on the whims and largesse of the Russian space program to reach space.
Obama’s decision is beyond nuts.
My father, who was an union organizer on the streets of New York(draw your own conclusion) once said, that the opposite of rational decisions was not irrational decisions, but CORRUPT decisions; the opposite of rational is corrupt.
This is a corrupt decision.
And who benefits from the corruption?
In the short term, the Russians; but in the long term, the Chinese. We owe them 800 Billion dollars and counting; I must believe, from the irrationality of this decision, that a quid pro quo was established with the Chinese, in exchange for their continuing to buy our debt(so the Government can advertise on the Super Bowl), we must in turn, emasculate our Space Program, and in turn, our technological base. The Chinese cannot catch America from in technology from where it now stand, but if we stand still, they can catch us.
Obama’s decision not only stands us still; it puts us in reverse.
