The Bad, The Ugly and THE GOOD, The FORT HOOD Massacre
The Bad
Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan was a 39 year old Army psychiatrist who had his medical education paid for by the Army. He took an oath as a Doctor, do no harm.
He violated that oath by taking two guns, walking into a hall of unarmed soldiers, catching them off guard,killing 13 of them, including a pregnant Hispanic woman. “The dead included a pregnant woman who was preparing to return home, a man who quit a furniture company job to join the military about a year ago, a newlywed who had served in Iraq and a woman who had vowed to take on Osama bin Laden after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.”
He did not want to be deplored to Afghanistan, even though all soldiers in the US Army take an oath upon enlistment.
“I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”
He violated that oath; “He(Hasan) said that at a class presentation by public health students, at which topics like dry cleaning chemicals and house mold were discussed, Hasan talked about U.S. military actionsas a war on Islam. Hasan made clear he was a “vociferous opponent” of U.S. wars in Muslim countries, ”
THE UGLY
“His relatives in the West Banksaid they had heard from family members that Hasan felt mistreated in the Army as a Muslim.
“He told (them) that as a Muslim committed to his prayers he was discriminated against and not treated as is fitting for an officer and American,” said Mohammed Malik Hasan, 24, a cousin. “He hired a lawyer to get him a discharge.”
“Witnesses to Thursday’s massacre at Fort Hood said alleged shooter Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan appeared calm and shouted “Allahu Akbar!” before opening fire at a crowd of young soldiers, pausing only to reload before he was taken down by a female officer who is being hailed as a hero.”
“ President Obama warned early Friday against “jumping to conclusions” regarding the motive for the shooting”
“An eyewitnesses told ABC News that he heard Hasan, who is a Muslim, shouting “God is great!” in Arabic right before he opened fire.”

Washington, D.C. – Federal law enforcement officials say the suspected Fort Hood, Texas, shooter had come to their attention at least six months ago because of Internet postings that discussed suicide bombings and other threats.
The officials say the postings appeared to have been made by Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, who was wounded during the shooting incident that left 13 dead and 31 wounded. The officials say they are still trying to confirm that he was the author. They say an official investigation was not opened.
One of the Web postings that authorities reviewed is a blog that equates suicide bombers with a soldier throwing himself on a grenade to save the lives of his comrades”
“National Public Radio this morning had a report that included interviews with doctors at Walter Reed Army Medical Center about Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the alleged shooter in yesterday’s Fort Hood massacre. That report came before employees at WR were put on lock down as far as talking to anyone, including the press, and, according to NPR, the FBI….. this storymentions briefly how Hasan was reprimanded for proselytizing about Islam when he was in training at the Uniformed Service University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md.”
“Hasan had been a psychiatrist treating wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington until bad reviews got him transferred to Fort Hood, Tex., in July.”
So, here we have a bad doctor, who is intending to get an attorney to violate his oath; has earned the suspicions of authorities, and is outspoken in his opposition to the war, IN UNIFORM.
Instead of being broken to the ranks, and shipped off to a weather station in Alaska; he is deployed to Afghanistan.
WHY?
We all suspect why, so lets jump to a reasonable assumption, no facts, but an informed calculated opinion.Dr. Hasan could not be mustered out because of Internal Affirmative Action goals. He was a Muslim Major,so the Army felt bound to keep him for some inane and insane numbers game.
In our New Age Army, which reflects our New Age thinking, we are incapable of sensing and defusing threats. Our New Age Army is obedient to social engineering; rather than muster Dr. Hasan out, they tried to rehabilitate him by sending him on assignment.
Do reasonable people think that George Washington,(who executed mutineers), Winfield Scott, Black Jack Pershing, William Tecumseh Sherman, “Blood and Guts” Patton, Douglas MacArthur, Mathew Ridgway, or Colin Powell would have tolerated a soldier, in uniform, trashing our nation’s wars?
Dr. Hasan should have been mustered out,the expense of his education either written off, or some type of repayment plan scheduled. The Army has standards of discipline for a reason,they have worked for over 200 years.
THE GOOD
Thank God for Texas women. I have always been against the concept of women in combat; it hurts me more to see the bodies of dead women than dead men.
But I am old fashioned.
Kimberley Munley, the woman who brought Dr. Hasan down, is the toughtest and guttiest female hero since ELLEN RIPLEY in ALIENS. In fact, she is better than RIPLEY, Ms. Munley is REAL.

Kimberly Munley should be more than a hero to Americans; she should be the focal point of a campaign in Afghanistan to rally oppressed, and subjugated Afghan women against the rising Taliban madness. There is only one force which can defeat the Taliban, Afghan women.
Kimberly Munley is the poster girl for Afghan women who have been tortured, stoned,flogged, imprisoned in their homes, brutalized, raped, denied an education, spat upon, and hobbled.
